Windows 11..
Microsoft launched an upcoming event slated for June 24 at 11am ET time where it will show its ‘next generation’ for windows, Windows 11.
People are still speculating about the next version of the Windows since the tech giant hasn’t given any official information about it. The image for the event has a window and two blocks of light below it which people are arguing that the block of light could represent number 11 which is a bit of a stretch.
“Soon we will share one of the most significant updates to Windows of the past decade to unlock greater economic opportunity for developers and creators. I’ve been self-hosting it over the past several months, and I’m incredibly excited about the next generation of Windows. Our promise to you is this: we will create more opportunity for every Windows developer today and welcome every creator who is looking for the most innovative, new, open platform to build and distribute and monetize applications.” Said Panos Panay, Chief product officer and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella who will be representing Nadella at the event.
Microsoft was also planning to release Windows 10X which was supposed to be a chrome OS competitor with a more lightweight and simplified features and interface but decided to cancel it and instead work on updating Windows 10. Microsoft said that they are moving forward by investing in areas where the 10X technology makes sense for both hardware and software in the future. The company has already started implementing the technology in form of a better voice typing, a modernized touch keyboard for windows 10 and a new app container technology.
For the Windows 11 event scheduled on 24th this month, Microsoft is expected to introduce some important changes in user interface (UI) to Windows under a codename ‘Sun Valley’.
Beyond the user interface, Microsoft is also addressing existing issues such as rearranging apps on multiple monitors, improving Bluetooth audio support and they also have an Xbox Auto HDR feature coming soon.
